SBCSA’s annual Try Sailing Day is happening on Saturday, June 9 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the 5th Street docks. Each year potential students – both youth and adult – climb aboard to see if learning to sail is for them. And each year, many students decide that it is!
- Visit the docks as close to 1:00 p.m. as possible. Past turnout has been over 100+ participants. Be sure to get your name on the list right away! Rides are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If you decide to sign up for a sailing lesson, you can register on-site at the SBCSA Information Booth on Water Street. Youth Introduction I lessons are $95 for non-members; Adult Introduction lessons are $220 for non-members.
- Visit the SBCSA Information Booth for information about other new and exciting programs offered by SBCSA such as BEAKERS, BRUSHES, AND BOATS: A STEAM DAY CAMP hosted by SBCSA, BaySail, and Studio 23/The Arts Center.
Try Sailing Day happens during the YWCA’s Riverside Art Festival in downtown Bay City. Some street closures will affect parking availability. Please consider utilizing a designated guest parking lot at 5th/Saginaw, Water Street next to the Jennison building, or at 5th/Adams.
